Goin’ Back a Lifetime of Songs will feature many of the great classics that Rebecca has made her own over the last twenty years. Blue Bayou, The Winner Takes it All, A Women in Love, plus a string of show songs from Evita, Blood Brothers, The Streisand Songbook and many more. The show will also feature for the first time Rebecca’s version of the great Carol King classic Goin Back, ‘it is a song I have always loved and as the years fly by it is very fitting for me, as I look back over my wonderful career. I am looking so forward to singing it’
Rebecca will be joined by her long time backing singers Mary Lowe and Allison Vard. Rebecca will be backed on stage by the brilliant Kenny and the Jets.

STORM COMING TO SAINT GEORGE’S
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we’ve a Storm coming to Saint George’s. Yes, you’ve read that right. But the storm we are talking about is Rebecca Storm who will be performing our re-opening concert on Saturday 4th December.And we’re just as delighted to announce that a week later, we have the wonderful Majella Cullagh in concert with the Bel Canto Choir.

Rebecca Storm has been touring the UK in Gary Barlow’s hugely successful musical ‘Calendar Girls’ for the last 18 months and will return to Ireland in 2020 for her first set of Irish shows in over 2 years.
Rebecca who made her name for her brilliant performances in Blood Brothers, Evita and The Streisand Songbook will tour with her 10 piece big band and some very special guests.

Rebecca Storm : Yesterday When I Was Young

Over the past 30 years Rebecca has established herself as one of the most popular leading ladies in musical theatre, playing some of the most demanding roles including Eva Peron in ‘Evita’, Fantine in ‘Les Miserables’, Florence in ‘Chess’, Rose in ‘Aspects of Love’, Edith Piaf in ‘Piaf’, Joan of Arc in ‘Jeanne’ and most recently Miss Hannigan in ‘Annie’. At 23 she auditioned for her first Musical ‘Blood Brothers’ and although a little young to play Mrs. Johnstone – Liverpudlian Catholic mother of seven children – author Willy Russell was so captivated by her voice that he insisted Wardrobe & Make Up went to work to ‘age’ the young actress. Her portrayal of Mrs. Johnstone has become so popular that she still returns to the role after 27 years. In 1992 Rebecca devised, co-directed and starred in ‘Hollywood Ladies’ – a tribute to Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Julie Andrews and Gracie Fields among others. Together with her company of fourteen singers & dancers she was awarded Best Musical Review ’92. She was very proud to be invited to sing for the King of Norway at his Coronation in 1991 and has performed several times for the British Royal Family.
Rebecca’s recording career began in 1985 with a Top Twenty single ‘Putting On The Show’ which she performed on ‘Top of the Pops’, quickly followed by ‘Mr. Love’ the soundtrack from the David Putnam film of the same name. Rebecca has been presented with awards for her albums ‘Ovation’ – a tribute to the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, ‘Broadway by Storm’ and ‘Ireland by Storm’. In 2000 she released ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’ – recorded with sixty wonderful musicians and produced by Frank McNamara. Her CD ‘Celtic and Broadway” was released by Sony Music in 2003 and continues to sell around the world.
Her most recent album ‘The Essential Rebecca Storm’ is a live recording of her sell out concert at Dublins’ Grand Canal Theatre and a studio album produced by her husband and Musical Director Kenny Shearer. With numerous concerts, radio and TV appearances around the world, Rebecca enjoys a busy and varied career. After many years in Londons’ West End theatre world, Rebecca has made Ireland her home and is more than thrilled with the honour of having her handprints set on the famous ‘Gaiety Theatre Walk of Fame’.
